Payment Options

  • Pay Online

    You have the flexibility to make a same-day payment, schedule a future payment, or sign up for AutoPay. You can use a U.S. Bank checking or savings account or an external account to make payments to your credit card. If you choose to set up an external payment account, it only needs to be set up once.

    To make a payment:

    1. Log in to Online Banking.
    2. Select your credit card account and click “Make A Payment.”
    3. Select the account you are paying from.
    4. Select the frequency: either “Once” for a one-time payment, or “AutoPay."
    5. Complete the remaining payment information and select “Continue.”
    6. Review the payment details and click “Submit.”
    7. Print the Confirmation Page for your records.

    Cut-off times:

    • Online Payments from a U.S. Bank checking or savings account made on weekends, holidays or after 6 p.m. local time will be processed on the next business day. Local time refers to the location where your checking or savings account was originated.
    • Online Payments from an external account made on weekends, holidays or after 7 p.m. CT will be processed on the next business day.
    • Please contact Cardmember Service if you have any questions about your cut-off times.

    Mobile Banking

    Download the U.S. Bank mobile app1 and make payments directly from your mobile device.

  • Pay by Phone

    Simply call the number on the back of your card or click Contact Us at the top of the page.

    • If you have not made a payment over the phone before, you will need to add your checking or savings account to your account profile by speaking with an advisor. Once your account is set up, you can make payments in our automated system or with our Cardmember Service team 24/7.
    • Payments made by 6:58 p.m. CT will be processed with that day’s business.

    Pay by Mail

    Send a check along with your payment coupon from your monthly statement to the address listed on your statement or the address in the Contact Us section at the top of the page.

    • Payments by check or money order accompanied by a payment coupon and received at this payment address will be credited to your account on the day of receipt if received by 5 p.m. CT on any banking day. Banking days are Monday through Friday, except federal holidays.
  • Pay at a Branch

    Make your payment with a banker or teller at over 3,100 U.S. Bank branches nationwide. Your payment will be processed with that day’s business, and the payment will be displayed the next business day.

  • AutoPay Options

    Setting up an automatic payment to pay your U.S. Bank credit card each month from your checking or savings account is a great way to avoid late fees and interest. You can choose from a variety of automatic payment options that fit your account management style or budgeting needs.

    How to set up AutoPay:

    1. Log in to Online Banking.
    2. Under the “Bill Payments” tab, select “Pay a U.S. Bank Account” or “Pay My Account.”
    3. Select the account you are paying to and from, and then select “AutoPay.”
    4. Your automatic payment options will be displayed to the right.

    Please Note:

    AutoPay takes about 10 days to activate, so please continue to pay your credit card by mail, phone or online until you see the AutoPay confirmation message on the front of your billing statement.
